Last week, a classmate of mine asked if I would write a short blog for the PUC website, just about whatever was going on for the week. Thursday came and I had no idea what to write--it had been a week full of papers and projects--and life changes. I began to blog about my photo assignment for the week, was about motion. (If you want to read the blog, you can find it here: http://www.puc.edu/media/blogs). In short, I talk about how "motion" was the perfect assignment for the week, because time seems to be speeding past me.
Now, I didn't write this in the PUC blog, but I was also equating "motion" to the changes that are going to be taking place in the Macomber household this summer. For those of you who do not know yet, we are moving to Kettering, Ohio over the summer. I feel kinda bad posting this online, but it seems the easiest way to spread the news. Also, my dad has given the official word that he is withdrawing from the political campaign in Toulumne County and there was an article online about it (which if you would like to read, here it is: http://www.mymotherlode.com/news/local/1631316/Macomber-Leaving-Race.html).
This change is going to be big, and I promised my parents that I wouldn't put a sad face on Facebook about it--but please know that this move isn't easy because it means leaving home. As for myself, I'm still here at PUC, and except for the possibility of spending next fall quarter abroad, the majority of my time will be spent in California.
As it quotes my dad in the article, "the opportunities fell into place unexpectedly"--and I am going to add that it all happened extremely fast. So there you have it! Now you know the real reason why I choose to talk about motion in my PUC blog!
And finally, for those at home, know you are welcome to talk to my family
about it if you are curious about all the details! :)
